We have been providing insurance to the UK fish frying industry for over 35 years. We first became involved when one of our own directors, Peter Sellers, who co-owned a fish and chip shop near Worthing became frustrated at the lack of affordable insurance cover that was available to him and his friends and colleagues in the fish frying industry.

Never one to shy away from a challenge, Peter set about creating his own scheme with the express aim of offering high quality cover with a single insurer at a reasonable price – aimed at people like him.

From these early beginnings the scheme has expanded to become one of the largest and best known providers of insurance and risk management to the fish frying industry. However our core philosophy of putting the interests of the independent fish fryer first has remained constant throughout.

We now number several of the best known and award winning fish frying businesses amongst our clients (and friends) and have watched their businesses grow with ours. Many of our clients have been with us since Peter fist started the scheme and are in to their second and third generation in the business.

These days there is a little more choice around, but it’s still a mixed bag. We believe that our clients deserve the best quality cover underwritten by blue chip insurance companies who understand the industry and are committed to the long term. We have seen several “cheap and cheerful” insurance companies come and go often leaving unpaid claims or controversy behind them and leaving others to pick up the pieces. We have developed our scheme over many years to ensure that the cover is market leading the insurers are UK based and with the highest financial strength available. We also take great care to ensure the warranties are sensible, intelligent and do not interfere with the proper operation of your business.
